A limited number of tickets are now on sale for Emerson Hospital’s “Have a Heart, Have a Ball” dinner and dance on Saturday, Nov. 2, 5:30 to 11:00 p.m., at the John Joseph Moakley Federal Courthouse in Boston’s Seaport District.
Attendees will enjoy a gourmet dinner, dancing to music by The Marsels and a silent auction with prizes including travel and adventure experiences, culinary excursions, professional sports tickets and more. Led by committee co-chairs and Concord residents Kristin Canty, Sandra Curran and Denise Haartz, the Have a Heart, Have a Ball Committee selected the venue because of its three-story, windowed ballroom overlooking the waterfront.

Funds raised from the gala will support the redevelopment of Emerson’s cardiac care unit. Designed with the well-being, privacy and comfort of patients and their families in mind, the unit features state-of-the-art telemetry for patients who require monitoring, but need less intensive nursing care than is provided in the critical care unit. The hospital's comprehensive array of services for patients with heart problems also includes a cardiology testing lab and cardiac rehabilitation program.
