Traffic Slowdown in Center of Town

Hope you don't mind being late if you are driving anywhere near Concord center on Thursday.

Sudbury Road is closed to traffic due to an engineering project starting at the library and running past Academy Lane.

Then Thursday morning, the patch of road on Main Street just past the library across from Concord Academy is torn up and workmen are installing bricks.

To top it all off, a town truck is hanging a big banner to advertise the town's 375th birthday celebration weekend on Sept. 10-12.

Detail police officers are directing traffic on Main, allowing one lane to pass at a time, but it is very slow.
