Two New Candidates Enter Selectmen Race
Residents Dennon Rodrigue and Steven Ng announced their intentions to run.

The election to fill departing Selectman Greg Howes’ has suddenly turned into a race with two more candidates stepping forward this week.
Steven Ng of Dalton Rd. and Dennon Rodrigue of Nancy Rd. both officially announced their intentions to run for the Board of Selectmen in the March 6 election.

Howes is , leaving his position on the board open. Selectman Elise Woodward’s term is also expiring this year, but she is seeking re-election.

Ng said that he and his wife moved to Concord in 1997 and quickly “fell in love with the town.”
“Very quickly, though, you realize an obligation to serve the town and to give back,” he continued.
Ng related that he served 10 years on the Planning Board and most recently worked on the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Rodrigue related the affinity for the Town of Concord that he and his wife also share, and that he anticipates a “spirited” campaign.
Rodrigue said that he spent 14 years in the service of the U.S. government, as well as eight years as a member of the military.
A seat on the Board of Selectmen carries a three-year term.
Woodward has announced that the upcoming election will mean different polling locations for some residents due to recent precinct changes. Those affected, she said, would be notified of where to vote well ahead of the election.
