Water Main Break Overnight is Repaired

The water department has fixed a water main break along Route 2A at the Acton line, a spokesperson for the department said Wednesday morning.

The break was discovered around 2:30 Tuesday afternoon when customers from Acton called the water department complaining of brown water. Customers from Concord that live west of the Concord rotary were also affected by the break

The road was shut down Tuesday afternoon while the break was repaired. Traffic was rerouted either down Barretts Mill Road or to Route 2 west.

Workers completed the repair around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, the department stated.
