What a Difference a Few Weeks Makes
In May, Concord had record floods; by early July, it is the opposite.
The town is dry. No, not without alcohol, but dry from lack of rain.
Signs from the public works department have been posted urging residents to conserve water. The town's light department is urging residents to turn up the AC thermostat to conserve energy use in the extreme heat, particularly during so-called peak hours of 1 to 4 p.m.
What a difference a few weeks makes. In May, Concord was under water. Roads were washed out and local traffic was diverted down side roads.

Now lawns are brown and there is a smaller channel for the rivers to flow through.
