Researchers hope to slow the emerald ash borer (berkshireeagle.com) — Dalton’s ash trees were among the first in Massachusetts hit by emerald ash borer, and local stands have already lost more than 90 percent of their ash in a decade. Researchers working in the Berkshires are testing tiny parasitoid wasps and targeted treatments to see if they can slow the insect’s spread and preserve remaining ash pockets.
