DANVERS, MA — A service dog training center for combat veterans will be among the beneficiaries of an $850K Essex Tech federal grant aimed at expanding workforce development and veterans-focused programs.

This funding is part of a multimillion-dollar community investment package secured by Congressman Seth Moulton for community projects in the Sixth District.

Essex Tech said it will use the money to expand its Danvers campus with a focus on upgrading the Gallant Hall HVAC-R systems, windows, doors, and Alumni Gymnasium bathroom. It will also provide space for Company2Heroes, a non-profit service dog training organization specializing in dogs working with combat veterans diagnosed with PTSD, TBI, or MST.
