DANVERS, MA — Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School has named Officer Chris Freepartner of the Danvers Police Department as its new School Resource Officer.

School officials said Freepartner also brings experience in the skilled trades, a background the school said connects naturally with Essex Tech students as they explore technical careers and prepare for their futures. He previously worked as a project manager and field technician with Superheat FGH and as a pile driver with Carpenters Local 578.

"We are excited to welcome Officer Freepartner to Essex Tech," Superintendent Heidi Riccio said. "His commitment to public service, along with his experience in the skilled trades, gives him a unique understanding of our school community.

"Most importantly, he will be a visible and approachable presence who can build positive relationships with our students while helping us maintain a safe, welcoming and connected environment."

In the School Resource Officer role, Freepartner will focus on building relationships with students and staff while serving as a resource on campus. He will work closely with the Essex Tech community to help ensure students feel safe, supported and connected at school.

Freepartner lives in Peabody with his wife and two children.
