• Danvers To Host 39th Annual Walk for Hospice (patch.com) — Danvers residents are invited to register for the 39th Annual Walk for Hospice, set for Sept. 27 at St. John's Prep, where families, friends, and even dogs can gather to honor loved ones and caregivers. The event raises money for Care Dimensions' grief support, hospice house improvements, and other patient and family services, with music, refreshments, and remarks planned before the walk begins.
   

• 30 Local Firefighters Graduate from Firefighting Academy; Three from Revere graduate academy (advocatenews.net) — Danvers is among the Massachusetts communities gaining newly trained firefighters as 30 recruits graduate from the state's 50-day Career Recruit Firefighting Training Program. The class completed intensive instruction in fire attack, rescue, hazardous materials response, and modern fire behavior, earning Firefighter I/II and HazMat First Responder certifications that will strengthen local and regional emergency response.
