An Injured Duck, Fireworks and a Hitchhiker

The following excerpts are from reports in the Danvers Police Department press log from July 16-17.

Tuesday, July 16

  • 5:05 p.m. Report of a motor vehicle accident with personal injuries on Route 114.
  • 9:33 p.m. Report of fireworks on Flint Street. Police checked the area, but didn't find anything.

Wednesday, July 17

  • 6:02 a.m. Report of a suspicious person on Route 1. Police said it was a hitchhiker.
  • 6:20 a.m. Police received a report of an injured duck on Adams Street. The Animal Control Officer was notified.
  • 8:01 a.m. Report of suspicious activity on Lima Street. Police said a vehicle was entered. No further details were available.
  • 11:27 a.m. Report of an attempted larceny at BJ's involving a Dell computer.
