Danvers Police Stop Leads To 10-Year Sentence In North Shore Drug Trafficking Ring
A Saugus man was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to trafficking counterfeit fentanyl and meth pills.
DANVERS, MA — A Saugus man who pleaded guilty to his involvement in a North Shore counterfeit fentanyl and methamphetamine drug trafficking conspiracy ring this fall was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
U.S. District Court Judge Angel Kelley sentenced George Krabey, 47, in federal court after he pleaded guilty in November to eight counts of drug distribution charges involving fentanyl and meth.
The Department of Justice charged that Krabey repeatedly met with a cooperating source from December 2024 to April 2025 and "sold thousands of counterfeit pills" containing methamphetamine and fentanyl.

On April 22, 2025, Krabey was a passenger in a vehicle stopped in Danvers, where authorities said he was en route to Salisbury to sell more than 4,000 pills containing meth.
During a search of the vehicle, a shoebox containing 5,296 pills containing methamphetamine with a weight of approximately two kilograms was found.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Samuel R. Feldman of the Narcotics & Money Laundering Unit prosecuted the case.
