Authorities Say Alleged Prostitute Moved Her Massage Parlor From Danvers to Andover

It turns out that a Quincy woman arrested last week for running an unlicensed massage parlor that was allegedly a front for a prostitution operation had just moved her shop a couple towns over from Danvers to Andover.

The Eagle Tribune reports that Yu Yun Chen, 45, of Quincy, was operating a massage parlor near the Liberty Tree Mall in Danvers until about two months ago when it was shut down by Danvers police.

Police Capt. Patrick Ambrose told the paper the department was investigating the business, which was run by Chen, for allegations of sexual services for a fee and had called in the state Department of Industrial Accidents, which has authority to shut down businesses found in violation of workplace standards.

He said state authorities shuttered the business on a civil workplace violation and police did not prosecute the case, noting that at times the best use of the department's time and resources is to allow the state to step in.

Chen then moved her operation, Qui's Body Work, to the Ballardvale section of Andover about six weeks ago, reports the Eagle Tribune.

Danvers police have dealt with a handful of similar cases in the past couple years.
