Back To School: Danvers Public Schools Opening Schedule

The following information is courtesy of Danvers Public Schools:

The 2011-2012 school year will begin on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 for Kindergarten through Grade 12. Monday, September 13th will be the first day of class for pre-school children. The pre-school classes are located at the .  

On  September 7, 8 and 9, it will be early release days, with the start of year activities for teachers being conducted in each building.

Early Release Times:

• High School 12:45 p.m.
• Middle School 12:45 p.m.
• Elementary 1:15 p.m.

Effective September 13, 2010 the following school hours will be observed:

High School

• Regular 7:30 a.m. -  1:55 p.m.
• Extended Block 2:00 p.m. – 2:40 p.m.

Middle School

• Regular 7:30 a.m. – 1:55 p.m.
• Extended Block 2:00 p.m. – 2:40 p.m.

Elementary

• Regular 8:20 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
• Extended Block 7:30 a.m. – 8:20 a.m.

Bus Eligibility:

• Kindergarten - Gr. 5 1 mile or more
• Middle School 2 miles or more
• High School 2 miles of more
