Body Found in Sailboat That Washed Ashore
Authorities have not yet identified the elderly man.

A sailboat with a body washed up on shore around 1:30 Friday afternoon at Lynch Park in Beverly, according to the Essex County District Attorney’s office.
The deceased is an elderly man that appears to have died of natural causes, according to authorities.The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner removed the body and will perform an autopsy to determine cause and manner of death, according to police.

The deceased man has not been positively identified. The matter remains under investigation by Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Essex District Attorney’s Office and Beverly Police.
