Here's What's Coming Up at the Danvers Family Festival
Five things to know today Monday, June 24, in Danvers.

There are several activities and events scheduled for Monday and Tuesday for the Danvers Family Festival. Check out what's planned below:

Monday
History, harmony, hot dogs and hits -- what could be better than that? You can enjoy some classic rock, hot dogs, ice cream, root beer floats and some vintage baseball on the grounds at Glen Magna from 5-8 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or blanket with you and watch the Essex Base Ball Club take on the Danvers High varsity team, but playing by some much older rules of the game. The event is sponsored by the Danvers Historical Society and Mass. Cultural Council.

Craft & Movie Night then starts at Glen Magna at 7 p.m., followed by the film "Thunderstruck at 8 p.m. Contact Cheryl Marshall at Town Hall for more information, 978-777-0001. The rain date is July 1.
The annual book sale held by the Friends of the Peabody Institute Library of Danvers continues this week and runs through July 6. There will be used books, videos, books on tape, CDs and more. Proceeds go toward the museum pass program, performances and other projects at the library.

Tuesday
The annual Kiwanis versus Rotary softball game is scheduled for Tuesday (6 p.m.) at John George Park. Stop down and cheer on your favorite organization or team. Contact Frank Herschele at 978-777-8274 for more details.
