Busy Weekend of Shoplifting at Danvers Walmart

The following excerpts are from reports in the Danvers Police Department press log from July 27-29.

Saturday, July 27

• 5:45 p.m. Report of a motor vehicle accident involving two cars and personal injuries on Route 114. Police said a pregnant female was in one of the cars.
• 6:11 p.m. Report of a dead goose on Liberty Street. The Animal Control Officer was notified.
• 6:42 p.m. Report of an assault at Millipore, which is located on Cherry Hill Drive.
• 9:27 p.m. Report of fraudulent activity at Endicott Liquors involving a fake license.
• 10:51 p.m. Report of an intoxicated person stumbling on the sidewalk near Supreme Roast Beef on Maple Street. The person was transported from the scene.

Sunday, July 28

• 11:27 a.m. A Kirkbride Drive resident reported fraud involving a computer.
• 11:43 a.m. Report of a drive-off at the Gulf Express on Route 114.
• 12:24 p.m. Amy Taverna, 29, of 33 Margin St., Peabody, was arrested on a warrant, following a motor vehicle stop on Maple Street near Route 1.
• 3:01 p.m. Report of a motor vehicle stop on Endicott Street and a subsequent arrest. No further details were available.
• 3:16 p.m. Report of a larceny at Walmart. Police said a handbag was stolen.
• 5:17 p.m. Cynthia Keith, 23, of 3 Rainbow Ter., Salem, was arrested, following a report of a shoplifter at Walmart. She was charged with shoplifting (third offense) and three counts of possession of a Class E drug.
• 5:41 p.m. Police received a report of a past larceny at Walmart.
• 5:56 p.m. Robert Akins, 44, of Boston, was arrested, following a report of a female shoplifter at Walmart. He was charged with shoplifting (third offense).
• 7:01 p.m. Report of a motor vehicle accident with personal injuries on Archmeadow Drive near Planet Fitness. State police handled the accident.

Monday, July 29

• 2:43 a.m. Jennifer Francis, 19, of 5 Innis Dr., Danvers, was arrested on a warrant at Days Inn.
• 8:33 a.m. Report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Lakeview Avenue.
• 10:57 a.m. Report of a larceny a home on Route 114.
• 1:16 p.m. Report of a shoplifting incident at Walmart. Police said two females were issued court summonses.
• 2:20 p.m. Report of a break-in to a car on Pat Drive.
• 2:49 p.m. Report of a shoplifting incident at Walmart. Police said a court summons was issued.
