Coach Bags, Clothes Latest Target of Alleged Shoplifters

The following is an excerpt from the Danvers Police log:
Tuesday, March 19
- Accidental damage was reported to a fence on River Street at 5:12 p.m.
- A shoplifter allegedly made off with four coach handbags worth $700 from Nordstrom Rack at Liberty Tree Mall on Independence Way at 7 p.m.. A summons will be issued to a 33-year-old male from Revere who police identified as a suspect but had taken off before the arrived.
- A shoplifting was reported at Kohl's at Liberty Tree Mall at 7:49 p.m. Not a lot of details were available from police, but a license plate was obtained from a van and it remains under investigation.
- Snowballs were reportedly being thrown at at vehicles near Centre and Newbury streets at 8:28 p.m. The area was checked but nothing was located.
- A restraining order was served at Day Inn at 8:43 p.m.
- A black Nissan was being operated erratically near AL Prime on Holten Street. The vehicle was gone from the area when police arrived.
- A problem with the traffic lights at Maple and Newbury streets was reported at 9:47 p.m.
- Icy road were reported at 9:49 p.m.
- A vehicle spun out and was facing the wrong way on Rout 128 north at exit 22 at 10:37 p.m.
Wednesday, March 20

- A loud band was heard in the area of Maple Street Housing at 4:15 a.m. The area was searched but nothing was located.
- A two-car accident with no injuries occurred on Maple Street at 8:54 a.m. An accident report was filed.
- A well-being check was done on a female at 10102 Bay Dr. at 9:03 a.m. A report on the check was filed.
- A handicapped parking violation was reported at 156 Andover St. at 9:53 a.m.
- Papers were exchanged after a car crash with no injuries at Maple and Newbury streets at 10:52 a.m.
- Two people were taken to the hospital after a three-car crash near 236 Maple St. at 12:35 p.m. One vehicle was stopped in the road, waiting to make a left turn into a driveway. Another vehicle was stopped behind it when a third car came along and struck the second car, which in turn struck the front car. Two people - the drivers from the first and second cars - were taken by Lyons ambulance to the hospital. The driver of the third car will be issued a ticket for failure to use care in stopping.
- The larceny of cash was reported at 12:42 p.m. on Lummus Aveenue.
- Papers were exchanged after a car crash with no injuries on Elliott Street at 12:47 p.m..
- Papers were exchanged after a car crash with no injury at Home Depot on Newbury Street at 1;09 p.m.
- Threats were reported at 3:37 p.m. at 248 Andover st.
- A report of the larceny of Chinese food at 9 College Pond Drive was unfounded.
- An arrest was made after clothing was reported stolen from Kohl's at Liberty Tree Mall at 3:53 p.m. Brooke Cuoco, 22,of 4 Seaview Ave. was charged with larceny over $250. She allegedly stole more than $440 worth of clothes. Two other people will be issued a summons in connection to the incident.
- A suspiciosu man named Eddie wearing a gray jacket was reported at Orange Leaf on High Street but the call was cancelled.
- A report was filed after the report of neighbor harassment at 23R Doty Ave.
- A violation of a town bylaw was reported at 4 Birch Hill Road where a dog was going to the bathroom on the property at 4:51 p.m.
- An unwanted guest was reported at 4 Seaview Ave. at 5:17 p.m.
- Another arrest was made in connection to an alleged shoplifting incident earlier in the afternoon. William Gore, 28, of 4 Seaview Ave. was charged with larceny over $250 at 5:27 p.m.
- A gray Mercury was reported to be operating erratically on Newbury Street at the Topsfield town line.
- A vehicle was reported to be parked on the sidewalk at 108 Collins St. It was gone when officers arrived.
- A gray and black cat was reported to be hanging around 13 Oak St. at 8:20 p.m.
Thursday, March 21
- A summons was issued after a car stop on Forest Street at 5:40 a.m.
- A vehicle was reported to be parked in a bad spot at High and Perry streets at 7:50 a.m. The report was unfounded.
- A driver reported that the catalytic converter was sawed off their black Toyota Sienna. It happened the day before between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. while parked at Millipore on Cherry Hill Drive.
- A stolen catalytic converter was reported taken from a vehicle at 220 Conant St. at 8:37 a.m. A report was filed.
- A car crash with injury occurred at Burger King on Endicott Street at 9:04 a.m. An accident report was filed.
- A large dog was reported to be loose near 67 River St. at 7:12 a.m. A search of the area did not come up with the dog.
