Crash into Porch Among Late Season Storm Troubles
A car crashed into a home's porch on Tuesday as part of several storm-related crashes.

A car that careened into a front porch was among the many storm-related troubles on Tuesday.
It happened at 7:38 a.m. on Tuesday at 30 Centre St.
Nobody was hurt when a Volkswagon struck the porch, but the VW had to be towed away.

The building inspector's office was notified to check out the porch.
"The car knocked out one of 3 columns supporting the porch roof and damaged the outside corner of the porch deck," said Building Inspector Richard Maloney, noting the damage was not serious.

It was one of about six car crashes that occurred as it continued to snow through the morning commute on Tuesday.
"It all picked up rather quickly at commuter time," said Danvers Police Capt. Patrick Ambrose.
In another crash at Holten and Burroughs streets at 7:08 a.m., one person was hurt and taken to the hospital.
None of the other crashes involved injuries.
In the afternoon, when another round of snow moved in, police handled more crashes. But again, none were serious.
One person did report a neck injury after a crash at 4:02 p.m. at Summer Street and Labao Drive where one car ended up on top of a snowbank. That person ended up not being taken to the hospital. A car also went off the road on Dayton Street.
