Crash With Parked Car Leaves Both Vehicles Sideways in the Road

Danvers police arrived to the scene of a car crash down the road from the station Wednesday night to find two cars sideways in the middle of Purchase Street.

The accident occurred between 8:30 and 9 p.m. when a car struck a parked vehicle near 50 Purchase St., according to a witness.

That person tells Danvers Patch the impact was to the rear of the parked car and both vehicles then spun into the roadway.

Three cruisers arrived at the scene and the driver did not appear to be seriously injured.

One of the vehicles was dripping liquid, presumably gasoline, on the road and was towed from the scene, according to the witness.
