DANVERS, MA — Daniel Bennett is running for re-election to the Danvers Select Board.

The 72-year-old father, grandfather and great grandfather is the owner of Dan Bennett Real Estate, which has served the North Shore for 21 years.

He is a 15-year veteran of the Danvers Select Board.

He told Patch that the town's economic growth, climate change policies and preserving historic buildings and landmarks will be two of his main focuses on the Board if he is elected for another term.

The Danvers annual town election is May 3.

Why are you seeking elective office?

To work with the town manager and fellow board members to develop a community-wide strategic plan setting long-term goals including economic growth and addressing the needs of a diversifying population.
