Danvers Early Voting For Annual Town Election Set For This Weekend
Early voting for the May 7 town election will be held at Town Hall on Saturday.

DANVERS, MA — Early voting for the Danvers May 7 annual town election will be held on Saturday with the registration deadline to vote in that election on the same day.
Vote by mail has been approved for the annual town election with a deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot on April 30.
Those wishing to vote in the election must register by Saturday at 5 p.m.

Early, in-person voting will be held at Town Hall from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This year's ballot includes contested elections for Select Board and Library Board of Trustees, as well as two candidates for School Committee and the election of town meeting members.

There are four candidates for the two open Select Board seats with Gardner Trask and Matthew Duggan being challenged by Michael Bean and Dutrochet Dee Djoko. Select Board seats have a three-year term.
Michael Shannon and Sean Doherty are the two candidates for the two open School Committee seats. School Committee members serve a three-year term.
There are six candidates for three open seats on the Library Board. Candidates for re-election are Jessica Cargile, Dana Hagan and Donna Lynn Hopkins. The challengers are Michael Shannon, Caroline Pomakis and David Elzey.

Polls are open on May 7 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
