Danvers Female Faces Charges for Underage Drinking Party

Police say a 20-year-old Danvers female will face charges in connection with a large, late night underage drinking party officers broke up last month.

Police say a 20-year-old Danvers female will face charges of furnishing alcohol for minors and keeping a noisy/disorderly home in connection with a large house party police broke up last month on Andrews Street.

Police Sgt. Robert Bettencourt said last week that a hearing had not been held yet on the case.

Officers arrived at 12 Andrews St. at 12:52 a.m. on July 27 to find a large group of underage drinkers. There were 19 people inside, ranging in age from 14 to 21, according to police.

No one was arrested at the time -- parents were called to pick up their children -- and one female was taken into protective custody because she didn't have a ride home, said Bettencourt.
