Danvers High Girls Take a Few Wins at NEC Track Meet

The girls' squad had a strong effort overall, taking four events, while the boys' team finished in the middle of the pack this weekend in Lynn.

The Danvers High girls' team claimed 4th while the boys finished 6th at the Northeast Conference Championships Saturday at Manning Field in Lynn.

The girls had wins in four events: Lexy Bean (200m, 26.42), Corinne Previte (400m, 59.85), Angela Caldarone (triple jump, 33-04) and the 4x100m relay team (52.15).

The rest of the 80 points for the Falcons came from Xanthi Pantezelos (100m, 5th), Caldarone (400m, 6th), Catalina Dominick (2 mile, 2nd), Erin St. Pierre (100m hurdles, 3rd), Ashley Brooks (high jump, 3rd), Meghan Kellard (shot put, 2nd), Devan Walsh (javelin, 2nd), Dominick (javelin, 5th) and the 4x400m relay team (6th).

The boys' squad did not win any events for the day, racking up 41 points from Connor Rollins (100m, 3rd), Chris Behen (200m, 6th), Drew Piazza (800m, 4th), James Bailey (1 mile, 5th), Kyle Sullivan (110m hurdles, 4th), Rollins (high jump, 3rd), Ryan Levesque (high jump, 5th), Sullivan (triple jump, 2nd) and Joseph Manson (shot put, 2nd).
