The Town of Danvers is seeking highly qualified candidates for the newly created position of Finance Director. The incumbent serves as the Town Accountant/DPW Business Manager and is retiring on June 30, 2015 after 30+ years of service. The successful candidate will oversee advanced accounting work, manage the financial affairs of the Town, and serve under the direction of the Town Manager as the chief financial advisor to the Town Manager, Board of Selectmen, Finance Committee, and town and school department heads regarding financial forecasting strategies, plans, and management. The Town of Danvers Harbormaster’s Office is now accepting applications for the positions ofpart-time/seasonal Lifeguard & Lead Lifeguard. Responsible for ensuring the safety of visitors to Sandy Beach by preventing and responding to emergencies; enforce aquatic policies, rules and regulations; recognizes and responds effectively to emergencies; inspect site and equipment for safe operation; communicates with others in a professional manner; supervision of assigned volunteers; interpret/apply/and explain rules, policies, and procedures to others; prepares and submits programmatic, administrative, and statistical reports in the required time lines as assigned; exercises discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information; follows through on communication received, as evident by timely and accurate task completion; works in outside weather conditions while performing this job; performs related work as assigned. High School Diploma or any combination of education or experience which provides the knowledge, skills, or abilities for the position may be substituted for diploma; current and valid Lifeguard certification, community first aid and safety, and CPR for the professional rescuer; ability to communicate with others in a professional manner; ability to work with individuals of all abilities. Salary: $10.00/hr. - $12.00/hr.
