Danvers Man Charged With 2nd OUI After Crash

The following information was provided by the Danvers Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following excerpts are from reports in the Danvers Police Department press log from Sept. 16-19.

Monday, Sept. 16

  • 5:13 p.m. Report of a shoplifter at Target. Police said the incident was handled internally by the store.
  • 5:39 p.m. Report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Route 128 at High Street. State police handled the accident.
  • 5:46 p.m. Lance Davis, 26, of 41 Garden St., Danvers, was arrested, following a motor vehicle accident with injuries near his home. Davis was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol (second offense) and not having a valid inspection sticker.
  • 8:33 p.m. Report of a shoplifter at the CVS in Danvers Square.

Tuesday, Sept. 17

  • 3:34 a.m. Report of drug activity at or near Denny's on Endicott Street.
  • 6:05 a.m. A caller reported there was a dead skunk on Maple Street. The animal control officer was notified.
  • 6:44 a.m. Report of malicious damage to a motor vehicle in the Hobart Street municipal parking lot. Police said a tire was slashed.
  • 6:51 p.m. Report of a domestic assault at a Hemlock Street home.
  • 7:04 p.m. A caller reported there was a suspicious-looking male up on the roof of the Great Oak School. Police checked the area, but didn't find anyone.

Wednesday, Sept. 18

  • 6:57 a.m. A caller at the DoubleTree Hotel reported two car windows were broken.
  • 7:48 a.m. A cooler bag was found in the bushes on the rail trail.
  • 11:46 a.m. Report of a past assault at Danvers Hardware on Maple Street.
  • 3:19 p.m. A caller reported a shoplifting at Golfers' Warehouse on Route 1. A golf club was taken.
  • 5:09 p.m. Report of a break-in to a home on Garden Street.

Thursday, Sept. 19

  • 2:40 a.m. Report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries at the corner of Pine and Sylvan streets. Police issued a court summons.
  • 7:49 a.m. Report of a break-in to a home on Innis Street. Money was taken.
  • 8:28 a.m. A caller said a deer was hit on Route 114.
  • 11:02 a.m. Report of a larceny at an office building on High Street. Police said light bulbs were taken.
  • 4:48 p.m. Report of a larceny at Kohl's. Police said cash was stolen.
