Danvers Man Faces Child Pornography Charge

The following are excerpts from reports in the Danvers Police Department press log from April 7-9.
Sunday, April 7
- 6:11 p.m. Antonio Gomez, 17, of 286 Newbury St., Peabody, and Sergio Gomez, 44, of 148 New Balch St., Beverly, were both arrested, following a report of a shoplifting at Walmart. Police said a pellet gun was taken. The younger Gomez was charged with shoplifting and the elder Gomez was charged on a warrant.
- 9:25 p.m. A caller reported a "loud explosion" in the area of Putnam Pantry. Police checked the area, but didn't find anything out of the ordinary.
Monday, April 8
- 1:52 p.m. Ryan Stevens, 21, of 6 Pickering Ct., Danvers, was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop at the corner of Cottage Avenue and Maple Street.
- 5:46 p.m. Report of a suspicious vehicle in Danvers Square with possible drug activity. Police searched the area, but didn't find anything.
- 8:08 p.m. Michael Silva, 52, of 6 Toomey St., Danvers, was arrested at his home by an officer who served him with a court order. Silva is charged with possession of child pornography.
Tuesday, April 9
- 4:15 p.m. Police responded to a report of a fight in which things were being broken at CAB Health & Recovery Services. No further details were available.
