Danvers Non-Emergency Police Lines Down For Second Time In 2 Weeks
Danvers police asked residents to hold all non-emergency calls Tuesday morning into the afternoon.
DANVERS, MA — Danvers residents looking for non-emergency police assistance had a hard time getting a hold of the department for the second time in nine days on Tuesday.
Danvers police said Tuesday mid-morning that phone lines were out of service and only 911 was functioning.
"We ask that you do not call 911 unless you are experiencing a true emergency to not tie up the lines," police said. "Please hold any non-emergency calls until all lines are back up."
