Danvers Police Food Drive Collects 2,440 Pounds Of Donations

Danvers police were at the Newbury Street Stop & Shop Sunday collecting items for the Danvers People to Peabody Food Pantry.

DANVERS, MA — Danvers police collected well over a ton of donations during the Thanksgiving Food Drive held Sunday outside of the Stop & Shop in Newbury Street.

Police said 2,440 pounds in donations were delivered to the Danvers People to People Food Pantry Monday morning.

"Their shelves are now stocked to help members of our community enjoy this holiday season," police said.
