Danvers Police To Host Drug Take Back Day Saturday
Residents can drop off prescription medication with educational and abuse prevention information available at the Ash Street station.
DANVERS, MA — Danvers residents will be able to safely dispose of expired and unused medications — as well as narcotics, veterinary medicine and old vitamins — at a drug take-back day open house on Saturday.
The station at 120 Ash Street will be open between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to provide a safe, convenient and ecologically responsible method of disposal while also providing information about prevention and abuse.
Medications and narcotics can be disposed of for free with "no questions asked."

The event is designed to highlight the need to dispose of medications and other similar items properly so they do not wind up in the hands of those who should not have them or be thrown out or flushed down the toilet where they can wind up contaminating soil or groundwater.
