Danvers Police Set 2 More Firearms Permit Days
Danvers police will conduct firearm license processing one day each in March and April.
DANVERS, MA — Danvers residents looking to get their firearms license will have two opportunities to do so in the coming weeks.
The first scheduled date is Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The second is April 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Dates and times are subject to change if an investigation necessitates.

New applicants should arrive at the station with their application already completed, a check for the appropriate fee and copies of any other supporting documents necessary.
Applicants are encouraged, but not required to, mail in their applications and supporting documentation in advance, attention Firearms Licensing. They may also scan the completed application and supporting documentation to firearms@danversma.gov prior.

Arriving applicants should put their name and contact information on the sign-up sheet in the lobby and then return within five of your appointment time. Those more than 15 minutes late for an appointment must reschedule.
There are no advance appointments.
A mask mandate remains in effect for Danvers town buildings at this time.
Those renewing a Danvers-issued permit do not have to appear on a licensing date. They should mail, or deliver to the Police Station, to the attention of Firearms Licensing, your application along with copies of all supporting documentation (listed below) and a check for payment.
The license will be processed once all documents are received. The current processing time for renewals is 8 weeks. You will be contacted if your application requires any follow-up.
Those renewing a non-Danvers-issued permit must follow the procedures of a new applicant as well as submit a change of address form to the Firearms Records Bureau and the Danvers police in advance.
