Danvers Set To Launch Revamped Town Website Thursday

The new site is designed to provide more usability, information and increased transparency.

DANVERS, MA — A new town website designed to have better access to town resources, timely news and increased transparency will go live in Danvers on Thursday.

The town partnered with CivicPlus on what it calls the "new, mobile-responsive, highly-functional civic website."

"I am excited to launch the new site," Danvers Town Manager Steve Bartha said. "The project team has spent considerable time working behind the scenes with the vendor, community members and staff to ensure that visitors can access information quickly, efficiently and with ease."

Bartha said most information can be found "with three clicks or less" and that residents can sign up for information alerts on things important to them.

"Hopefully you will be blown away and very impressed," Bartha told the Select Board at last week's meeting. "But, if not, you can let us know that as well."

Bartha said the website was revamped using federal American Recovery Plan Act funding.

"I think it's going to be much better received than the current site," he said.

The website is planned to go live sometime Thursday afternoon.
