Danvers Schools Canceled, Parking Ban Ahead Of Snow Storm
No School For Danvers! Oh, and residents are to stay off the roads if possible, according to transportation officials.

DANVERS, MA — No school for students Thursday, school district officials announced Wednesday as the first major snow storm of the year barrels down on the region, and the National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning for the predicted foot and a half of snow. Danvers has also issued a Winter Parking Ban to be in effect beginning at 2 a.m. Thursday, prohibiting on-street parking.
This ban will remain in effect until all winter operations related to the coming storm are completed, according to the Danvers DPW.
Danvers town offices will be closed, and trash pickup have been cancelled for Thursday. The holiday week curbside pickup schedule will be delayed an additional day for the remainder of the week.

If you have a Christmas Tree placed curbside, DPW is asking you situate it so that it doesn’t get buried in the snow or interfere with snow removal operations. Christmas tree pickup is scheduled for Saturday, January 13.
No word yet on the schools: Some towns and cities have already cancelled school, including Boston.
