Danvers Snow Emergency Parking Ban Begins Sunday, Trash Pickup Delayed

DANVERS, MA — Danvers has declared a snow emergency parking ban as of 11 a.m. on Sunday ahead of the major winter storm expected to arrive later in the day.
All vehicles must be removed from public streets. Vehicles left on the street may be ticketed or towed.
Residents are asked to check on neighbors who may need assistance during the storm.

Because of the storm, there will be no trash or recycling collection on Monday.
Collections will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week, concluding on Saturday for residents who have a normal Friday collection day.

A winter storm warning is in effect for Massachusetts from 7 a.m. Sunday to 8 p.m. Monday. Total snow accumulations between 13 and 19 inches are forecast, according to the latest updates from the National Weather Service on Saturday.
Winds gusting as high as 35 mph, according to the weather service.
