Danvers Students To Plant Trees For Arbor Day
Two trees will be planted at the Smith Elementary School as part of the annual Arbor Day event.
DANVERS, MA — Danvers students will participate in a tree-planting event at Smith Elementary School as part of the annual Danvers Arbor Day festivities.
The planting ceremony will take place on April 17 at 10 a.m.
The trees were donated by the Danvers Garden Club and the Corliss Brothers Nursery.

This program is a combined effort between the Danvers Public Works Forestry Division, Danvers Garden Club, Corliss Brothers and Smith Elementary School.
Arbor Day is celebrated across the nation in all 50 states on the last Friday in April.

Students will be educated on how trees play a critical role in creating a healthier, safer, and more beautiful community: they help moderate temperature, clean our air, filter our water, produce oxygen needed for all living things, and are the key to creating diverse ecosystems worldwide.
