DANVERS, MA — The Danvers Veterans Council is welcoming the public to attend this year's Veterans Day ceremony at Thorpe School after last year's event was mostly virtual because of the coronavirus.
The ceremony will be held outside, behind the school, weather permitting at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11. If the weather is an issue it will take place in the auditorium where masks will be required.
Living and deceased veterans will be honored at the ceremony where U.S. Marine Corps Col. Dana Alpert (ret.) will be the guest speaker. Alpert served in combat and intelligence missions in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Far East.
