Danvers Water Main Replacement Project Set To Start Soon

The Danvers Department of Public Works said parking will not be allowed in affected areas during work hours for the duration of the project.

DANVERS, MA — Water main work will cause traffic and parking disruptions for some Danvers residents in the coming week.

The Danvers Department of Public Works said on Monday that the water main replacement project will soon begin on Cabot Road and Amherst Road to improve the service and reliability of the municipal water distribution systems. The portion of Cabot Road from Chestnut Street to Exeter Street will be affected.

Parking will not be allowed on days while construction is ongoing throughout the duration of the project while construction activities may require the temporary closing of side streets to through traffic in the area.

Parking will be prohibited from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. along the route during construction days.

"No Parking" signs will be posted in advance of construction and parking restrictions will remain in effect until construction is complete on that day.

Buildings directly affected by this project will receive a notice with further information.
