Danvers Woman Accused Of Embezzling $29,000 From Beverly Company

DANVERS, MA -- Police responding to a report of a domestic distrubance in Danvers Tuesday ended up arresting the victim as well. When police were called to the apartment of Jacqueline Whitmarsh, 36, she showed them bruises on her legs and wrists she said had been inflicted by her boyfriend Ernest Faulkner, 36. But police also arrested Whitmarsh on a warrant stemming from an investigation that started in August and followed allegations from Whitmarsh's employer that she had stolen nearly $29,000.
According to the Salem News, which first reported this story, Whitmarsh pleaded not guilty Wednesday to 46 charges, icluding multiple counts of larceny, forgery and passing forged checks. She is accused of stealing $28,876 by writing checks to herself while handling payroll for Coastal Windows and Exteriors. Faulkner, who had left by the time police arrived Tuesday night but was arrested a short time later, pleaded not guilty to domestic assault and battery, possession of a class B drug, drunken driving (third offense) and driving after license suspension.
