Erratic Driver Charged With OUI and Suspicious Males With Chalk

The following information was provided by the Danvers Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following are excerpts from reports in the Danvers Police Department press log from June 10.

Monday, June 10

  • 12:27 a.m. Charles Rehal, 61, of 28 Holten St., Danvers, was arrested, following a report of an erratic operator on Endicott Street. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving to endanger and a marked lanes violation. A caller said the car was "all over the road."
  • 6:04 a.m. Report of a pothole in need of attention on Maple Street.
  • 8:15 a.m. Report of a possible coyote sighting in the area of the Thorpe School. Police checked the area, but didn't find anything.
  • 11:08 a.m. Report of a table in the roadway on Route 128 North.
  • 1:54 p.m. Danvers police assisted with two arrests at CAB Health & Recovery Services on Middleton Road. Andrew See, 17, of Hubbardston, and Emmett Leahy, 17, of Marblehead, were both arrested as courtesy bookings for another department.
  • 2:55 p.m. Report of a suspicious person at John George Park. A caller said there were two males with chalk.
  • 4:33 p.m. Mariah Almeida, 21, of 77 High St., Gloucester, was arrested, following a report of a shoplifter at Kohl's. She was charged with one count of shoplifting for allegedly stealing shoes.
