Ethiopian Woman Will Share Her inspirational Story of Her Journey From Ethiopia to Israel

The community is invited to Amazing Journeys of Brave Jewish Women lecture series.

Ethiopian-born Dr. Yarden Fanta-Vagenshtein will share tell her inspirational story of her journey from Ethiopia to Israel and beyond at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, at Temple Beth Shalom, 489 Lowell St. in Peabody.

In 2005, she completed her Ph.D. in education, becoming the first Ethiopian woman to earn a doctorate in Israel, according to Oglethorpe University.

On June 16, 7:30 p.m. at Temple B’nai Abraham Dr. Ayesha Noor will share her remarkable story of her journey from Islam to Judaism.

Both programs are free and sponsored by Lappin Foundation, Temple B’nai Abraham, Temple Beth Shalom, Sisterhood of Temple Ner Tamid, Temple Ahavat Achim, NSJCC and Hadassah. All are welcome.
