To honor and acknowledge the tenth anniversary of 9/11, the Peabody Institute Library Danvers and the Town of Danvers Diversity Committee will gather a panel of experts to discuss the ways this historic event changed
the “landscape of American culture”. The panel discussion, which is free and open to the public, will take place Sunday September 11, at 2 p.m. in the Gordon Meeting Room of the library at 15 Sylvan Street.
The panel, moderated by Town Manager Wayne Marquis, will feature Danvers Police Chief Neil Ouellette, Media Expert and Professor of Journalism Dan Kennedy and Endicott College Professors Amy Damico and Sara Quay, authors
of September 11 in Popular Culture: A Guide.
Together, they will share thinking and insights on how our culture responded to September 11th both in the immediate aftermath and in the years that followed.
