Congratulations to the DANVERS ACADEMY THEATER for making it to the DramaFest Finals. Out of over 120 high schools, DHS is in the final group of 14 schools invited to perform at DramFest in Boston on March 22-24. We are performing a modern adaptation of Euripides' Medea.
Come to HRMS this WEDNESDAY, MARCH 21 to see this talented group of DHS students and help support DHS Academy theater. We ask for a $5 donation (or more!) at the door to help defray the cost for the three day trip to finals.
Medea is a one act play (35 minutes) about a woman who's been betrayed by her husband and shows the full extent of fury of a woman scorned. Kate Hopkins (Medea) earned awards at both the preliminary and semi-final rounds for her portrayal of the role. Acting awards also went to: Emily Jordan, Emily Murphy, Mari Georgilakis, Alex Skarmeas, and Sarah Carey.
