Friendships and Social Coaching: Helping Kids Make and Keep Friends

Nadine Briggs, founder of a social skills-based company, Social Smart Kids (www.SocialSmartKids.com), parent consultant and SibShop Facilitator, will explore how parents can improve the social lives of children. The seminar will provide practical advice with examples of how to assist children in making and keeping friends.

Seminar discussion topics include:  Barriers to Socialization, Adult Role in Socialization, Teaching Empathy and Respect, Creating and Accessing Socialization Opportunities, The School's Role in Teaching Social Skills, and Overall Advice on How to Develop Social Relationships

We will be offering childcare for the evening, thanks to Danvers High School. Please register in advance (if possible) with Danvers SEPAC Co-Chairs Alan Vervaeke (alanv_dsepac@verizon.net) or Deb Zorzonello (debz1@verizon.net) to allow us to properly plan for the evening and have a reasonable count for our caregivers.
