George Jacobs Remembered: 320 Years Later

On August 18th and 19th we will be commemorating the 320th anniversary of the death of George Jacobs.  At 81 years old he was the eldest victim to be executed during the Witchcraft Hysteria of 1692.  To this day he remains the only executed person whose remains were later located.  Through a series of remarkable events he was eventually buried here at the Nurse Family burial ground. 

All weekend we will talk about his trial and the tragedy that befell his family.  Here about how he came to be buried here and pay your respects at his grave.

Tours will be Saturday and Sunday on the hour from 10-2.
