A school-wide spelling bee with preliminary and semi-final rounds was conducted at the Holten Richmond Middle School which identified the top spellers at each grade level. The finalists will receive “goody bags” from the Liberty Tree Mall and compete in the final bee to identify the winner at each grade level (6th, 7th & 8th grades.) The top three winners will also receive prizes from mall retailers.
In addition to the competition, the Bee will feature a Silent Auction of donated items from Blue River Diamonds, United Martial Arts Center for Health and Wellbeing, Lord’s and Lady’s Hair Salon, Sea Lion Sushi and other mall retailers. Proceeds of the silent auction will benefit DEEP (Danvers Educational Enrichment Partnership.)
