Girls Soccer Victorious Over Winthrop [IMAGES]
Danvers High School Girls Soccer crushed Winthrop at their Columbus Day match up.

Girls Soccer made it four straight wins in the N.E.C. with a 6-0 win over visiting Winthrop on Columbus day morning.
Corey Persson started off the scoring on a nice through ball by sweeper Erin Loehner to make it 1-0, 8 minutes into the game. At the 20 minute mark, Kylie Plaza scored on an assist from Persson to make it 2-0 at the half. Persson added 2 more goals in the second half for the hat trick with Plaza and Chrissy Gikas getting the assists. Alex Strangie added her third goal on an assist from Kylie Plaza. Courtney Arnoldy got her first varsity goal on a second assist from Chrissy Gikas. Leah Ciampa and Mia Koutoulas split time in goal for the shutout.

"This was another good win for out team today. I really liked the effort of Chrissy Gikas in our attack and she was able to pick up a pair of assists."
Danvers hosts Marblehead on Thursday night, youth soccer night, at 6:30.
