Danvers Babe Ruth Baseball has undertaken a project to replace the existing scoreboard at Twi Field.
Twi field is one of the premier full size baseball diamonds on the North Shore and is worthy of a scoreboard that reflects the quality of the diamond. It is the home field for the Danvers Varsity baseball team as well as Danvers Babe Ruth Baseball and Danvers Legion Baseball, and has served as anauxiliary field for several other leagues including the North Shore Baseball League, the Royal Rooters Baseball League and New England Club Baseball Association.
The existing scoreboard is more than twenty five years old and is well past it’s useful life. The incandescent bulbs that the current scoreboard uses are becoming more and more difficult to find and are energy inefficient. Several of the sockets either no longer turn on or no longer turn off. New scoreboards use high efficiency LED lights and operate with a reduced power consumption.
Danvers Babe Ruth has contacted two scoreboard companies in the area and has received two proposals that put the cost of this project at approximately $6300.
In order to be installed for the 2015 Varsity baseball season, an order for this custom sign must be placed before March 1. As such, I am asking for your help by way of a donation before February 15, 2015. No donation is too high or too small.
We have contacted multiple civic organizations in town and Danvers Babe Ruth Baseball has already committed to be the first $1000 sponsor. Won’t you be next?
Danvers Babe Ruth Baseball is registered with the IRS as a 501(c)3 organization (EIN - 52-2381958) and is a corporation in good standing with the Secretary of the Commonwealth and is also registered as a Public Charity with the Office of the Attorney General. We provide a structured baseball program for the youth of Danvers from ages 13 through 19. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
Please send any donations to -

Please include a note indicating that the donation is to be designated to the scoreboard fund.
Sincerely,
Keith Lucy
