Here's What Businesses Readers Want To See Open In Danvers

A mid-scale restaurant "perfect for happy hour" -- maybe a taqueria, maybe a brewery -- topped readers' wish lists.

DANVERS, MA -- There's no shortage of fast food places and high-end restaurants to get a celebratory meal in Danvers, but Patch readers would like to see more options in between those two extremes. That was the consensus that emerged last week when we asked Danvers Patch readers that follow us on Facebook "What business would you like to see come to Danvers?"

"A restaurant perfect for happy hour with friends or a quick bite - the pickings downtown are slim, either only intended for a fancy night out or more of a sports bar vibe," Jessica Suttera told us. "We need a go TO for good drinks and good food any day of the week!"

Several readers offered specific suggestions for what kind of restaurant that should be. Many want to see a brewery like the ones popping up in neighboring Peabody, but even more wanted to see a taqueria or Mexican restaurant.

"A taqueria, for sure!" Holly Baldassuare said. "La Victoria in Beverly is phenomenal and would do so great here."
