How Does Danvers Stack Up on MCAS Scores?

The Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) test results were released to the public last week.
We've compiled two charts: the first showing the percent of students at each performance level for Danvers.
The second chart shows how Danvers students did against some of the surrounding communities on the North Shore.

In comparison to last year's analysis of Danvers tenth graders, the high school rose ten percentage points, with 91 percent of students scoring a proficient or higher on the English/Language Arts portion.
For mathematics, 76 percent scoring proficient or higher is four percentage points lower than last year's, but this year only four percent failed, while last year it was seven percent.
