Judge Calls Danvers Man 'One-Young-Man-Crime Wave'
Judge Robert Brennan ordered Kevin Roussin, 19, of 23 Prince Street in Danvers, be held without bail.

DANVERS, MA -- Prosecutors say Kevin Roussin, 19, of 23 Prince Street in Danvers, threatened to kill an elderly relative with a knife at the Hawkes Manor elderly housing complex Sunday night when the relative refused to let him stay there. Roussin, according to court records, allegedly stole the man's wallet then bit him when the man tried to grab it back. At around 2 am on Monday morning Roussin allegedly took the man to a bank ATM and forced him to withdraw cash.
And, oh yeah, when police caught up with Roussin and arrested him on Monday morning, he was already wanted on three outstanding warrants, including one for allegedly stealing a tip jar from Boston Hot Dog last month, according to the Salem News, which first reported this story. Prosecutors asked for bail to be set at $5,000 but Judge Robert Brennan, who called Roussin a "one-young-man-crime wave" ordered he be held without bail until his next court appearance on August 8.
An attorney for R0ussin said his client denies the charges and that the elderly relative had asked Roussin to help him purchase drugs. Attorney James Craig argued that the incidents described by police in their arrest report were " too incredible to believe."
