Light The Night Purple Walk & Community Gathering

DanversCARES Hosts Event To Support Awareness of Opiate & Other Substance Use in Our Community

DanversCARES is hosting a walk and community gathering supporting awareness of opiate and other substance use in our community on Wednesday, May 18th from 6:30-8:00 pm. The free event starts and ends at the Rotary Pavilion on the grounds of the Peabody Institute Library. The first 50 people will receive a free Light The Night Purple t-shirt. No registration is required. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors to show you care. After the walk, join in a gathering of inspiration and hope with speakers starting at 7:30pm at the pavilion. Prevention and treatment resource information will also be available. Sponsors of this rain or shine event are: East Boston Savings Bank, Lahey Health Behavioral Services, and Recovery Centers of America.
